HE’S A REAL NOWHERE MAN
SITTING IN HIS NOWHERE LAND
MAKING ALL HIS NOWHERE PLANS FOR NOBODY
[/center][/blockquote][/blockquote]The night-time streets of Tokyo were lively, with lots of people still around Shibuya, some with friends, some with significant others, and some going to drinking parties or perhaps just drinking for the sake of it. It was early in Tokyo’s nightlife, however, since it was only 10pm. It was due to get more adventurous and wild from here on out. There was one person that walked alone through the crowd in Shibuya, however. A young man, with long-ish black hair and dressed in a smart but casual manner. No one really paid him any attention or glanced at him as he passed them by in the crowd. He blended in, and didn’t stand out, practically just a part of the background. The only thing that really stood out, was a certain air he seemed to carry around him that was different to everyone else’s, and the small smile that was painted on his lips.
Naoto’s dark chocolate brown eyes glanced around at the crowd as he walked through all the people. Practically everyone seemed so happy. The smile on his lips widened slightly. He liked to see that people were happy, even if it meant they were somewhat oblivious to the supernatural world that went on within their own, right under their noses. It also made him a little nervous. Vampires could easily take advantage of humans, and he hated any that did. What especially disgusted him about the vampires was their idea of a ‘sport’. The Dog Fights. A place where werewolves were pushed to fight against each other at the full moon. A fight to the death. It made him feel sick just thinking about it.
Sighing to himself, Naoto ran his left hand through his hair, before it rested on the back of his head, as he stopped walking at the edge of the pavement at Shibuya Crossing, waiting amongst the crowd for the lights to change. It took a while, but finally they changed and the crowd surged forward onto the crossing. That was something that Naoto had learned quickly about Tokyo’s famous Shibuya Crossing - if you didn’t move fast, you would get shoved and possibly fall. He moved and found a more open spot in the crowd so that he wasn’t blocking anyone’s way or slowing anyone down. Glancing up as he crossed the road, he looked at the lights and the tall buildings all around. Where should I go…? he wondered, having set out that night with no initial idea where he was going or what he wanted to do.
“Hmm.” Once he reached the other side of the crossing, and still not wanting to get in anyone’s way, he headed straight for the first place that got his attention. The Starbucks, which actually stayed open pretty late since Shibuya was always pretty active at night. There was hardly a queue when he went inside, so he was quickly able to get what he wanted and make his way back out. After barely a moment’s debate, he had settled on the just getting hot chocolate. There was a fairly cold breeze outside, so it would help warm him up a little, plus it was sweeter tasting than coffee. After getting back outside, he stood leaning against the wall at the front of Starbucks and trying to decide where he wanted to go or what he wanted to do, his dark eyes watching the crowd as all the people passed him by once more.tagging open
