"Have you lost your mind?" Assistant D.A Teresa Slayder screamed into the phone as she walked through the town of Forks Washington. She was talking to the detective on the case about the case that was currently opened. "No, I didn't say I moved the crime scene I said I SAW the crime scene moved, no I'm not delusional, Katherin are you drunk?" she screamed into the phone. It was at this point that Tessa walked through the streets and bumped straight into someone. She snapped the phone shut and looked up.
"oh gosh I'm so sorry, for bumping into you and for the noise I was causing..." Tessa said as she looked up at who she had bumped into.
The street lights had come in the small town of Forks. Most the shops where shut and the streets where quite empty. The nightlife in Forks was so rubbish that the most excitement in the streets was a person crossing the road with their dog. There were hardly any cars driving around the city as well which made the dog walkers crossing even more boring.
Megan was walking down the empty sidewalk kicking a bottle in boredom. She had been here for only a couple of days and she had found nothing to do when it came to night time. There had been rumours going around the city about killings in the forest and that it was either an animal or a sick psycho, so she had been told not to go into the forest anymore by her parents.
Megan turned the corner of the street not looking up to see where she was when she collided into something solid. She fell back landing on the floor. She looked up to see a beautiful women looking at her. She smiled at the women’s apology and she pulled herself of the ground and brushed some dust of her back before apologising, "No, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going when I walked around the corner" She shrugged and admired the women’s beauty a bit more.
Megan stood looking at her for a few more moments before she realized that she hadn't even introduced herself. She smiled warmly at her and said quietly ”I’m Megan by the way. Megan Taylor" she put her hands in her pocket because she felt slightly shy and looked down at the ground. She hadn't been so shy in Port Angeles but ever since she had moved to forks things had changed. And with all these beautiful people in the city it didn't help her self-esteem.

"Nice to meet you Megan, I had a friend back in Manhattan with your same name, Meg I called her, but nevermind I'm Assistant District Attorney Teresa Slayder, what are you doing out here?" she asked. She had no desire to drink from this girl hell, she didn't have the desire to let this girl know who or what she was but she was concerned for her saftey. Not all vampires were vegitarian and she was afraid that if the wrong people found this girl, it would end very well.
Pulling her hair behind her ears the district attorney looked at the younger girl. "if you wanted to do something at the night, you could always visist the community center, I know it's boring here and I know bordom believe me, I'm from Manhattan, but I just need you to be careful" she knew the investigation although not detailed or outlined in the news, had been in the news at least, they had also mentioned her name as much as she had told them not to. Oh well.
Megan's mind began to wonder towards all the beautiful people she had seen around the city. And they all had the amazing gold eyes. When she thought of the golden eyes Megan looked at the women’s eyes. She spotted that they where gold as well. They weren't as bright as bright as the other golden eyes she saw but they were still beautiful and especially on the women in front of her.
When she began to speak Megan was only half paying attention. She was still slightly discouraged about how beautiful the people in the town where. She only heard the second half of what she had said. "Hi Teresa" Wow, her voice sounded very bad she though. She tried to smile and that failed as well. "Nothing. What is there to do in this stupid town?" She tried to compose herself. She didn't want to have a tantrum now. She hadn't had one since they had moved her and she didn’t plan to have another on so she tried to set her mind on something else.
Teresa answered her rhetorical question and her reply didn't appeal to her much. "I didn't even know there was one in the town." The last part Teresa said made her think. "Be careful?" The only thing that’s going to get me in this boring town is a wild bear. And I've been banned from the woods so I doubt much will happen. She looked at Teresa and she seemed slightly troubled. Megan thought about if she should ask her what was up. She had showed some concerned for her so why shouldn't she be nice back.
"You seem um, like something is bothering you. Do you want to talk about it? I am a good listener." She smiled and then looked down at the floor. She didn't want to sound like she was pushing the matter so she left it at that and kept her gaze at the floor. She stared at her purple trainers. She remembered when she could where better shoes like sandals, but she doubted she would be able to here. She looked upwards to see how Teresa would react, trying to push the regret to the back of her mind.
