It was Megan’s first day in Forks, she had moved down from Port Angeles leaving behind all her friends and she had broken up with her boyfriend for cheating on her. She felt suicidal. She strolled out of her new house slamming the door as she went, the removal truck had left ten minutes before, her mom had gone into town to get food for tonight and her dad had had to start work today, he was currently at the school, my new school Megan thought doing work. She pushed that thought to the back of her mind; the thought of making new friends hadn't sunk in yet.
Megan walked for ten minutes and then saw a footpath leading into the forest. She looked around, there was no one there. She sighed heavily and then walked into the forest, she could use this time to find a place to go and play music when she was upset. Megan followed the path for a good twenty minutes, until she found a new trail, man made that lead into nowhere. She stood for a moment and then looked down, she had the right shoes on, why not? she thought. Taking her steps slowly now, with her mind completely blank due to concentration, Megan began to climb through the long grass and onto the fading trail.
It was a long walk and a tiring one, but she finally reached a small opening in a field; it was about the size of a small dethatched house. There were flowers all around the edge and of the clearing and in the centre was a lovely grassy area. Megan forgot all about what was on her mind and skipped aimlessly into the centre of the field where she sat down and started examining the flowers.

The forests here were like most others she had seen, the humans stuck to the same ideal routines, and it had a mass mixing of scents squished into a tiny place. And despite all of this, things flocked here, or so she had heard. Ryder was in Forks Washington, the town that has supposedly started everything. Home to vegetarian vampires, shape shifters, and hybrids, it was hard to believe that humans were still the majority. This was one of her more awaited stops. For the past little while, Ryder had wanted to see for herself why everything in the world was more messed up then usual. And so she decided to visit a few places that seemed to be the centre of attention. Simply put Alis was a watcher, she didn't necessarily like involving herself in other's problems. Mostly because the last time she had, she had almost wound up dead. It was interesting to her, nothing more. If the outer world hadn't been screwing with her own personal one she wouldn't have made the choices she did, but she never made an uninformed choice. Meaning she fully meant to be here, Alis Ryder never regretted anything she did. The forest was the best part of the town in her opinion, and while she couldn't hunt humans here without calling attention to herself, they at least had a decent stock of carnivorous creatures. They were gross, but better then her other options. She sat within the forest, hidden by brush. There was a small clearing near her into which she stared. Watching, thinking. It was all she ever did. The only words she had said in the past few months were those to her prey. In fact, even when she had another's company she wasn't that talkative. Maybe it was because she had been alone most of her life. Craving companionship was not for her, and often she only spoke to be polite. So when a girl skipped into the clearing. She sat, not seeming to take heed to her surroundings at all. You'd think someone from the place would have been more careful, considering the history of the forest. But she wasn't. Alis could smell the girl from her spot in the brush. And she did smell good, her lips curved into a smile. The girl was lucky Ryder was full, having hunted not a half day past. Despite the calling of the rushing blood, Ryder was never one to stuff herself. Ryder was intrigued though, and watched her for what seemed like an hour, but in fact was merely a minute or two. In circumstances like this, Ryder was supposed to leave without alerting the human. But that wasn't her. What did she care if the human saw her? Alis would be in no danger, and it wasn't as if her eyes or skin would give her away like that of a full breed. She stood and walked into the clearing, it was rather small, she thought looking around. Ryder took a few steps, close enough so the girl could hear her. "Not a place to come to forget the world." She spoke in a beautifully clear voice. It was her own voice, and Alis couldn't remember the last time she had heard it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blaise was venturing, she knew she wasn't supposed to be here without Jacob’s permission, and that the Quileute Reserve forest was for roaming shifters in wolf form, but... for once, she didn't care. Venturing and roaming was all she ever did know a days. Because she had given up on Seth, and Jacob sure wasn't as fun to be around thanks to imprinting. Even Leah seemed like a bother now. The only one who seemed to halfway understand was Embry, and she didn't talk to him much either.
Everything was out of line, nothing made sense anymore. And nothing mattered anymore. What mattered if you didn’t know your family? And you didn’t have friends? Blaise just kept running, circling some parts where she smelled vampire stench, making sure it was Cullen stink. That’s when she picked up the strangest scent she’d ever smelled…. It was…. Vampire stink… no. It was human… no. It wasn’t either. It was BOTH.
She picked up her speed and followed the scent. She came to a clearing, which had two people- scratch that, two THINGS that she really didn’t know what they were. Was it a vampire and a human, two humans that have just randomly been hugging Vampires lately, or two hybrids like Renesmee? Whatever they were, they weren’t harming anything, and besides, if one was human, or they both were, a giant wolf might just scare them. ‘I’d better phase back…’ Blaise thought, then took a couple small steps backwards and phased back to her human form. After putting on her loose tank top and her shorts, she slowly edging closer to the clearing, finally getting there, she spoke up “excuse me, but, if you know what I am talking about, can one of you please step forward” she didn’t have much experience with vamps, but her one time fighting that newborn she learned a lot. Be POLITE. Don’t attack ON SIGHT. And do NOT let them grab your gutt or your nose. Especially the nose. Blaise touched her broken nose with her finger lightly then put her hand down “One of you stink. Badly.” She said with a curt nod, ‘Okay. So maybe that wasn’t so polite. Oh well.’ She smirked to herself, wondering which one of them smelled her “wolf stink” that burned a vampires nose.

When blood was not needed, knowledge was, sadly only one was available here, and it wasn't the one she currently wanted. Turning, and remembering not to move to quickly, she caught something. It was a scent, a strange scent she had never come across. Obviously it wasn't human, and all of Alis's lessons rushed back to her. Vampires and Children of the moon were not the only things out there. Ryder was in fact, proof of that very idea. Whatever was out there was a potential threat, whether she knew what it was or not. Think, she thought to herself. Then it came to her. Another reason why this town was so special, why the Volturi were more worried about going after the coven here then others. It was one of those strange wolves. Not children of the moon, but not human. Ryder didn't know much about them, but she knew enough to know that they were dangerous to her. Alis's eyes fell to a spot along the edge of the clearing, where, not a few moments later, it walked through. Why had she been so careless? Ryder should have been more careful, remembering what her father had taught her had been the only reason she had survived this long. Alis wasn't wanted like others, however she could be of value to certain groups. Not to mention she liked living, and had no intention of dying. Ryder listened to the newcomers words. Mentally she scolded herself, next time she would have to be more careful. "One of you stink badly." Ryder mimicked in the girls voice. Forget the human, she'd just be deemed crazy if she spouted anything she had heard Alis say. She took a few steps forward, "You should be more polite. You didn't hear me commenting on how you smell." Ryder said smiling. "Just wondering, but did you think this whole thing through? Your alone, in your human form, and in the presence of a human, yet you still decide to confront the unknown?" Alis could care less who this was, but all things considered it was the most eventful event she had yet to experience here. She'd be a fool if she didn't try to learn from it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Megan sat there examining the flowers wondering how she would be on her first day of school. Would the people here be friendly or would they just leave her out of the group. A light breeze blew through the opening and Megan watched the flowers blow lightly. She patted her hair down and then laid down looking up at the sky. She really missed Port Angels, and it looked like it was going to rain soon, maybe tonight of the next morning, but it was coming and there was no way of avoiding it. She sighed heavily and then closed her eyes trying to clear her mind of the thoughts swirling around in there.
Megan had no knowledge of anyone being in the opening with her. She hadn't heard the person enter and she hadn't heard her move closer to her so when the person spoke Megan sat up in shock and turned to see who was there. She spotted the person and her jaw must have dropped. She jumped to her feet and examined the women standing opposite her. She was beautiful her skin was slightly pale and then weak sun made her skin shine slightly. She muttered back "Well, it’s not the world I want to forget, its more this place" She shrugged and walked slowly towards the person. "I'm Megan." She smiled as she introduced herself and then continued "Just moved here, and I'm not enjoying it" her smile turned upside down at the comment.
And when Megan had faced all the surprises she heard someone shouting behind her. How rude she thought as she watched a girl walk in towards them. She didn't exactly like she had been for a shower in a few days and she folded her arms as she watched the girl. When Megan felt the girl walk past her she watched her as she closed in on the girl. She smiled widely at her comment back at the girl. But when she finished Megan frowned, what did she mean in your human form, and in the presence of a human.
Megan walked over to the two strangers and cleared her throat loudly. "What do you mean human form and in front of a human. Are you somehow better than me?" Megan heard how annoyed she was in her voice and wondered why she felt like that. Maybe it was because the shiny woman was more beautiful than her and that Megan felt intimidated. Whatever the reason she continued with what she was saying "And you, have you even been for a shower this month? Maybe you’re the one that smells!" What is going on she thought, she was never like this. She was always quite open and friendly with people. She must be letting out all the anger she had for moving to Forks on these two innocent people.

"Oh, shut it Blondy. I'm in no mood. My brother just kicked me off the Reserve for the day" Blaise growled at the human-vamp thing "Plus, I just got dissed by my crush" she cocked her head "human form"? Was this THING kidding her? She was just as capable as tearing her head off in her human form as any other Quileute wolf. "what are you doing here? In case you didn't notice, this is Cullen-Quileute territory, and we do NOT welcome any other leeches or Wolves. What do you think your doing here anyway? Toying with the humans? Well leave them be. If the your kinds goverment thing hears about a killing here, they will send Jane up. And it will NOT be pretty." she scowled as the human made fun of her
"It's nothing. It's just this... rivalry we Quileutes have against people like her" she pionted at the vampire-human thing "There is this old ledgeon. about the "Cold ones" and we don't welcome them here." she threw Alis a glare "Get out of her leech. We will not stand for your being here." she growled and spat. This leech-human needed to leave. Now. Or she would ened up hurting both her and the human
Blaise would have snapped right there and then, but being around Seth and Jacob all the time helped. A lot. She leared control, calmness. And she wasn't going to throw that away just to kill ONE leech. It wasn't worth it. This was another thing she learned from Jacob, the more the better, the less the bitter. Blaise would be too angry, she would need something else to calm her anger to phase back, and she didn't want to take that out on a human. It's wouldn't be fair.

Anger meant yelling, harsh words, and other things that made her head hurt. On the other hand, Ryder could relate to the girl. Bad days stunk, and she had had some particularly bad ones. The worst being the day her father had planned to give her to the Volturi to protect his own neck, which resulted in a disgusting smelling bonfire. "Talkers." She mumbled. Talkers could be good sometimes, but not now. She hadn't heard voices in a while, and sometimes they overwhelmed her. It was the annoying thing about her ability. Either way she'd have to deal with it. The girl was probably one of the younger ones, otherwise she wouldn't have jumped in with words like she did. She turned back to face the human, Megan. "I'm Ryder." She always introduced herself as Ryder, no one besides her father had known her name to be Alis, and she wanted to keep it that way. Looking back at the other girl she finally addressed the words. "I know who's land this is, I came to watch." Alis said calmly. "I have not killed since the state border and I doubt Jane nor any of the Volturi will harm me either way." No they wouldn't, hybrids were much to rare. As far as she knew the Volturi only knew of two, they didn't know of Alis for sure and a few others were out there, hiding. Interesting had become annoying within the past few moments, the last thing she wanted to deal with was a child. Ironically, Ryder was only eight and this girl was probably older, however Ryder had more control and seemed to be a bit more mature. Alis loved the powers of observation. "Giving information to their kind is a much greater offence." Ryder said. Smiling at the comment thrown to the girl by Megan. "I was warning you Megan, not enjoying yourself here is the least of your problems." Alis hadn't said this much in a long while, it was about time she did leave, as she had been planning to do. Hard to leave now though, she never responded to rude people, it encouraged the behaviour. "I wish I could leave, but I can't." Ryder said, it was the truth. If she left, she'd only have to come back. There was no greater fault then letting herself be controlled. She was free and could do what she wanted when she wanted to do it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

"I never told the girl anything. I just said something about Quileute legends." Okay. Now Blaise's body was shaking... she either had to get out of there or at least get the human away, she didn't want to harm the human, just the vamp thing. She chose to leaave. She gave one last glare at Alis and took off the way she came, yelling "GET OUT OF FORKS LEECH!! OR I'LL TELL THE CULLENS!" as she left.
As soon as she got out of sight she took out her tank top and shorts, rapped them around her leg with a rope and phased, running toward the rez.. She couldn't BELIEVE that human-thing! She musn't of known what Blaise was, or else would have been a BIT frighted. But noooo, she was probably a new-born. How Blaise DESPISED newborns. After all, one did give her a good old one-two to the face. Which broke her nose. This girl was most likely no different. Wild and abnoxious no doubt. Blaise would enjoy telling on the little rat.
"And I bet Jacob would enjoy ripping it apart." the thought crossed Blaise's mind as she ran, he hadn't gotten to face a vamp in a while.. okay, maybe the Cullens. But they don't count, Emmmettt had the punch coming to him anyway. And plus, they are good.
